I know I'm not the best out there but I was wondering if I had a chance at all. Thanks!

Your GPA and test scores are lower than the average accepted nursing student at Pitt. I think your chances for Nursing are low, but it doesn’t hurt to try. Just make sure you also apply to some “safety” programs.

You should also know that nursing is not at all like pre-med. Do you want to be a nurse or a doctor? If you want to be a doctor, you should not do an undergraduate nursing degree at Pitt. The Pitt BSN will not prepare you adequately for medical school, and there is probably not enough space in the schedule to take the necessary extra courses to be ready for med school.

Yes, I know they are completely different programs. Do you know if Pitt allows you to transfer into the nursing after freshman year? I’m considering just going in to a school undecided or as a bio major and transferring in so i can figure out which i like better. Thanks :)

Pitt does allow 2nd year students to transfer into Nursing. However, if selected/u you will need to make up the nursing related freshman classes that you missed. More than likely this will delay you graduation by at least one semester and possibly an entire year.
