Nursing (RN) Program at Stony Brook?

Just wondering how it is and some information about it thanks

The Nursing program is one of our most competitive -- and financially rewarding, in terms of post-graduation salaries -- on campus. It's an upper-division program, which means we don't admit freshmen into the program; there's a 57-credit sequence of courses that you need to have completed before admission to the School of Nursing.

For students who have completed their RN through an associate's degree program, they're a little more flexible; and if you have a bachelor's degree already, then their one-year accelerated BS in Nursing is flexible as well. But the traditional BS program, with two full years of coursework and clinical work, is tough.

I have one good friend in the one year program for people with a BS already, and another who is applying now for the regular upper div. program. The woman who's in the program already really loves it, and thinks the faculty and clinical placements are fantastic. If there's anything specific you want to know, I might be able to find out for you :)

Chris,
Can you give me an idea of how competitive the BS accelerated program is for someone who already has a BS ?
