I know their nursing school is one of the best in the country. So, how many people do they accept each year? Is it about a 25% selection percentage?

Do you apply direct to the nursing school only or to the nursing school and to UNC-Chapel Hill?

And any other information you can give me about the nursing school would be great. Thanks!

My niece just started in the nursing program at UNC. Evidently, you apply to the nursing program during your sophomore year. It is hard to get into, she was accepted with a gpa around 3.7--think what helped her out was the volunteering she did for the last 2 years in a hospital, she also shadowed some nurse practitioners during the summer and worked in a pharmacy.

A friend's daughter was rejected the first time with a gpa over 3.8, but she had no hospital/medical experience and I think it really hurt her application (just my guess). She reapplied at the next round and with volunteer experience, she was accepted.
