Nursing Undergrad

Hi. I will be at Notre Dame next year and this site was very useful for me. I want to get my sister started off on the right track so I thought I'd ask for help.

My sister is interested in doing nursing undergrad and really likes LMU and St. Mary's so far.

I think what I want for her (and what I think she will like) is a smaller to medium, non-state school pretty much anywhere in the country. She likes warm weather but I think she would be open to checking out some schools in the snow.

Can you give me an idea of some good nursing schools for her?

ive never bumped, but here it is

Villinova, Fairfield Univ, Boston College, Georgetown

Case Western Reserve University
Simmons College
Northeastern University

Penn! You can't beat nursing in the Ivy League. Please note, the prereq for girls at Penn nursing is to be blonde.

Not really, but seriously, every nurse I know at school is a blonde.

Michigan also has a nursing school.

Univ of Rochester used to; I don't know if they still do.

I just used CollegeBoard's search tool and found 762 four-year colleges with a major in nursing.

UPenn, Northeastern, Villanova, Boston College, Georgetown, Drexel, do an undergrad degree in something science-y or non-science and do an accelerated MSN...

Rochester doesn't have UG nursing for people coming in with no college education or a RN license, IIRC.

Washington tops many rankings. Cal-San Francisco tops some grad rankings.

UIC and Loyola have solid nursing programs if you want your sister nearby.

great guys... thanks, anythin in the west, south, midwest more other than UIC and Loyola (just so i can give my sis some choices from a variety of areas)

thanks a lot! loyola relle stuck out to me

Bobby, St Louis University has a highly ranked program. Also, Marquette, Ohio State, Penn State and Pitt have strong nursing programs.
