  5. Sports-Nil
  6. Art- Learnt Classical dance and music for 10 yrs
  7. Sat -1740
  8. Sat subject tests- Nil

Queries:

  1. I am applying to NTU Singapore and would like to have suggestions reg my probability of going through.
  2. I wish to apply for NUS also but would like to know sat is mandatory for me and also if sat subject tests are mandatory.
  3. If yes for point 2. Then is there any other way i can try requesting for admission into the university.
  1. NTU pretty much only looks at your final board percentage. If you make 96%+ you are a competitive applicant. It depends on which course you apply for.
  2. No, you do not need SAT II scores if you are an Indian passport holder. NUS also looks only at your final board marks. ETA: Since your SAT score is low, you are better off not reporting it since it is not mandatory.

hi stopdroppop,
I have already sent my SAT scores along with my application do u think it’ll affect my intake to a gr8 extent

No it won’t really affect your application imo. Given you have the boards score needed by NTU/NUS, you would be as good as an applicant not submitting them.

Hi friends!
I have applied to NUS and NTU too, how many of you here are from CBSE?
How’d the exams go?

Hey @yahooo100…appeared for the cbse exams(foreign region). They were quite good i would say. Maths was lengthy but i managed to attempt every question and now with the lenient correction for maths, I think result should be great. Expecting 96-97 overall.How was urs?
Btw i have secured admission in many universities in the US too so would be going there if i got rejected by NUS which will most likely be the case lelz :)) :smiley:
PS : stream is either electrical or computer engineering.

@Sl4yer
My exams went on well too (hopefully,haha) WOW, 97 is a great score! Congratulations on the US Admissions!! :smiley:
I am heading to some university in Delhi if not NUS/NTU
I am looking to join the Computer science course
If you don’t mind me asking,Where are you from?

@Sl4yer
Have you given the SAT or the JEE?

@yahooo100
I m from Delhi originally but currently living abroad. It’s just an estimate but i m confident that i should cross 96 overall. Nah i didn’t give JEE lol. SAT i got a 2100. SAT subject i got 800 in maths level 2 and 770 in physics. How about u? My brother is also currently studying engineering in US so most likely i will end up there only(unless NUS becomes super kind).

@Sly4er
Delhite this side too!
I gave all 3 SAT subject tests (Phy,Chem,Math2) and I got a 2310, although I am reappearing on May 7, hoping for a better score. No JEE
I think what I’ve understood from other forums is that with 97-99, you have a very strong chance, do you have a more precise idea of the cut offs?USA sounds equally exciting
Goodluck to you :slight_smile:

97+ should do the work i guess but i m expecting around 96.Yea US will be gr8 considering many people from my school are also going to the same university, so it should be fun. But if I do get NUS, i would go there obviously as it would ease the financial burden on my dad even though he is willing to spend on me and my bro as well.
Let’s wait and watch :wink: BOL to u too and to every1 on this forum with the whole college thing :smiley: Can’t wait xD

@Sl4yer
Hoping to see you and the others on this forum in Singapore!
Praying for the best :smiley:

@mathikshara SAT and SAT subject tests are mandatory at NUS (for state boards)
