NUS international admission

hello everyone!!

I am an IB student and would like to know if NUS really needs SAT scores together with IB scores to grant admission to an international student. I know it's written on the NUS website that there is a minimum score that they need, but do SAT scores really improve your chances of being accepted as an international student?

I will be applying for chemical or electrical engineering. I would be glad if any of you could help!! :)

From the NUS site (keep in mind that this still refers to the Fall 2010 admission cycle):

Just to add to that, it’s probably a smart idea to make sure you get your application outcome well before July, even if it means taking the SAT. School starts in August and there are a number of things you’ve to do before coming to NUS (apply for a visa, apply for accommodation etc), so it’s good to have some time in hand.

but if i don’t qualify for admission through the SAT, won’t that mean that i have to wait for my actual IB results anyway to determine the outcome of my application?

Yes, you will have to wait for the official IB results before you get your admission decision.
