Hi all, does anyone know if it's a lot harder to get into NU's school of communication than it is to get into Weinberg? The website just says how many students are enrolled in each (1000 vs. 4000 approx) but the percentage of acceptances to each school is not given. I really want to be in School of comm. but I'd give that up in order to just get in. I have a 34 on my ACT , ranked 30 out of 560. Lots of ECs, went to NU's cherub program for speech, captain of my speech team (lots of first places at tournaments). My mom got her BA there. My dad has MBA from Kellogg. My parents don't donate much. Just a little here and there so that's not doing me any good. Let me know what you think. I will apply ED to my first choice (comm) or Weinberg if it increases my chances.

Your ACT score and being a legacy, combined with an ED application, would give you a good shot at either school, assuming that your curriculum and ECs are of comparable strength. I honestly don’t think it will matter much which one you choose.
Good luck!
