NUS vs SUNY Buffalo

<p>I have got admit from NUS School of Computing for M. Comp. in Information Systems...
Also also from School of Management from SUNY Buffalo for MS in Information Systems...
No aid anywhere...
Which univ should I go for ? .. I am from India....</p>

<p>NUS is know worldwide
SUNY Buffalo is barely know outside of NY, let alone in India.
However, american degrees are very respected even if from a not so well known college.</p>

<p>Well, NUS is arguably among the best universities in the world. Its pretty much respected in the US too. Its much better for the major u plan to pursue too.</p>

<p>obviously NUS...no comparison...lol...world wide repute...quality of the degree...etc etc...</p>

<p>NUS definitely. My friend with a 1490(on 2400) SAT score got into SUNY Buffalo. He didn't have recs or anything. NUS is really tough to get into and way better than SUNY Buffalo. Go to NUS!</p>

<p>It is NOT amoung the best in the world. It is NOT known enough in the US to be respected. In this comparision, NUS>> SUNY Buffalo.</p>

<p>In the US specifically, I believe americans have heard of SUNY Buffalo more so than NUS. </p>

<p>But if you take both of these schools and compare, NUS is much more selective, have better academics and have a overall better student quality. I didn't say it is not a world renowned university. I just say it is not amoung the best in the world. That would be HYPMS, Oxbridge, Imperial, UCL & the top 30or40 for USnews, top10 LACs, top 3 in Canada, and so on etc. I don't see how NUS fits in 'amoung the best'. </p>

<p>Manisha: If these are your only two chioces, choose NUS definately.</p>
