Nutrition Science and double minor?

How unheard of is a double minor?

I'm thinking of majoring in Nutrition Science and minoring in Speech Communications and Biochemistry. I can plan my schedule so that 2 of the 5 classes that I need for my major overlap with my biochem minor. That way, I only have to take an additional three classes to get that minor. I'm interested in taking some of the speech classes offered. I'll have to take on 5 to receive a minor. If I take 2-3 classes over the summers, the most hours I'll be taking in a single semester is 16. I wouldn't go any higher than this though.

Thoughts? BTW I'm going to UGA. Should I just back down to one minor and take a 2-3 other classes that I enjoy instead of doubling up on the minors?

Speech communications minor seems like a complete waste of time no offense; however, if you love those courses then take it. Note: a minor itself in general will not make your transcript look any more impressive. Thus, I would say do one minor and take 2-3 other courses.
