It's not that simple b/c it depends on what you are studying and all, but here goes:

Rice is too small and in Texas (no offense, Texans, but I lived there and the intense heat and humidity were horrific - but I know Rice is a great school!)

Berkeley - 22K undergrads is too big for me. If you are a hippie-type or less mainstream in the personality department, this would be a great choice. Beautiful, great reputation and it's hard to beat that CA weather. I lived in Northern CA (on the peninsula) and loved it.

NU - "frigid" is more like it, at least this year, but everyone is in the same boat and there's always spring, summer and fall to enjoy! I like the 8000 student mark, find the campus beautiful, enjoyed Evanston and loved being on the lake.

I vote:

NU

I'm not sure you will get an objective opinion on the NU board!

For the record, I vote NU.

But I bet if you ask on the UCB and Rice boards, they'd have a much different opinion!

Where do YOU fit best?
