Has anyone transferred from out of state into the University of Texas at Austin after one year? I personally have terrible HS grades, and decent SATs. Will have a 4.0 w/ 30 credits by the end of this semester if things stay going my way. Do they only take ACT? Is it possible at all? Any more helpful info!??!

If you have a full 30 hours of college coursework that UT Austin accepts-- meaning no high school remedial type courses, UT won’t care about your SAT or ACT scores, nor what you did in high school. You’ve got a good shoot at getting in with a 4.0, but definitely pick Binghamton as a safety.

picox is correct.

Only your post-secondary (i.e. college) GPA is taken into consideration at UT in terms of academic achievement . You don’t have to submit SATs/High School/ACT. Infact, even if you submit them, they will not be considered.

You’re pushing the deadline for this semester pretty seriously. Everything needs to be in UTs office and accounted for by October 1st, so you have until Friday. It’s possible, but you need to hurry. I’m not sure how it works if you are currently pursuing course work counting toward the 30 hours, but I think you’re applicable. Call their office and ask to speak to Blake. He’s very helpful.

What’s your major?
Have you completed the major requirements?

Post back if you have any more questions.
Good luck!
