NY colleges

Hi. What do you guys think are my chances for these NY colleges.

GPA: 3.4
SAT: 2020

NYU
Fordham
Manhattan College
St. John's

Also is there any more NY colleges?

It’s hard to say without seeing the other major parts of your application like your extracurriculars, but I would say that your SAT score and GPA are on par for NYU and a little bit over the averages for the other three colleges.

There are MANY colleges in New York. A quick Google search for “colleges in New York City” can help you. The best known of them is Columbia University.

Have you run the Net Price Calculators?
You’re within range for NYU (low GPA so you’d need lots of AP/IB/HOnors classes), you xcould probably get merit aid at Fordham, the other two are safeties but have lousy financial aid so check out the merit possibilities.

Check out SUNY stonybrook

Also if you’re looking for upstate schools, there are tons. Buffalo, Bing, Albany, Syracuse just to name a few. There’s also the CUNY schools and Hofstra.

you should provide more information so we can give you a better “chance”

St. John’s gave my daughter very good merit aid. Check the SUNY and CUNY systems: very good value.
