This summer my family is supposed to be moving from Upstate New York to Flordia. What I'm wondering is will all my high school credits from NY transfer to my school in FL and will I be able to get in state tution. Please let me know, I've never moved before so I don't know much about this stuff.

Yes, your high school credits will transfer to Florida, especially if you have honors and AP courses. Most of those courses are pretty much the same throughout the states.

You can easily get instate tuition and scholarships. We have the Bright Futures scholarship here which will make an easy full ride in the public universities in Florida.

I think you would've had to have lived here for 12 months prior though to be considered for Bright Futures and other things as a Florida resident. I'm not sure if being enrolled in a school for a semester or two waives that? The weighting on your credits may also be a little different, so your GPA may be a little higher or lower.

All of the Bright Futures info is here: Bright Futures Scholarships

thanks guys
