<p>Hey, I'm just kind of bored and was wondering what you guys would do:</p>
<p>My hs orchestra was invited to play at Carnegie Hall the same weekend that I'm supposed to be competing in public speaking in Vail at a state comp (I live in CO). Where would you guys go?</p>
<p>i'd kill for the chance to play at carnegie hall, though it'd help if i knew how to play an instrument.</p>
<p>carnegie hall could be once in a lifetime.. go with it . I actually had the same thing happen with my hs orch. freshman year, but we ended up not going! the superintendant wouldn't let us b/c it ended being a snow day and if school is out then the insurance didn't cover it.

<p>Carnegie definitely stands out more, but if you are the only public speaker then the speech might make more of a difference. Are you on a large public speaking team?</p>

<p>eh i'd take vail, i don't think orchestra @ carnegie hall is really a big deal, a lot of orchestras do it...</p>

<p>Carnegie hall is a lot better. There is nothing in vail. I just went there this summer.</p>
