The school I’m auditioning at is limiting practice time to the day of only 30 min before auditions. I’ll be traveling and because of that with flying I won’t be able to touch a piano at all from tonight now until about 40 hours from now at the school. Does anyone know of an easy way to get access to a piano somewhere in NYC that I could just walk into tomorrow? Thanks this is last minute I know…

I did call the Steinway gallery cause I know people have done that before but they said no that they used to at the old store but not at the new location. I might try to call again in the morning during my layover and see if j get a different person on the phone.
The National Opera Center at 330 7th Ave is a beautiful new facility. (212) 796-8630 They have all sorts of studios for recording and rehearsing, and not expensive. Good luck!

You could try http://www.klavierhaus.com/ Klavierhaus. You can also rent practice rooms with pianos at places like Pearl Studios.

You could give the Kaufman Center a call. They rent practice rooms (cheap). 212 501 3308. It’s on west 67th.
Check out nyc.spacefinder.org. It’s an on-line database of spaces for rent. It’s recommended by Juilliard as a resource for exactly this purpose.
You also might want to check with the Dimenna center on the west side, I don’t know if they will rent space that quickly, but part of the reason they exist is to have affordable practice space for musicians.
