NYC to Michigan

Hey. I'm currently a high school senior who is highly interested in UMICH. I was just wondering if there are any posters here who are attending UMICh and live in the NYC area. Do you guys find the adjustment hard or is it okay after awhile? Also, what did you think about and consider before enrolling?

I'm from NJ. I found the adjustment quite easy.

I'm from NYC and I think the adjustment is okay. There's a lot of walking if you live on the Hill, and since most NYers are prepared for that we should be fine. People here are generally nicer, but not the come up to you type--they're very respectful and shouldn't give you problems. Eating out is actually very good, but it's expensive as well. The bus system is simple compared to the MTA.

I actually wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but I did miss it after awhile. Michigan offers probably one of the best college experiences possible--the main reason why I went here.
