Hey everyone. So I'm taking some summer classes at Yale and they're every Saturday at Leet Oliver Memorial Hall, located at 12 Hillhouse Avenue, New Haven, CT. I know this a probably a question for Google Maps or something but I've been getting weird answers off of it.

My question is, I'm coming up on the Metro North. is there a shuttle that can take me from union station to yale, or should i take a cab? what are the chances of hailing a cab and getting it to drive me directly in front of the building?

yes, i'm horribly bad with directions and i don't want to get lost in an unfamiliar state.

There is a shuttle. [Shuttle | to.yale.edu](<a href=“Parking Options | It's Your Yale”>Parking Options | It's Your Yale) The Red Line shuttle goes every 15 minutes or so during the day, in a loop that begins and ends at Union Station, and has three stops near where you are going. You will probably want to get off at Trumbull and Hillhouse, at least until you know your way around, and walk half a block south to your class. Ultimately, you will probably want to get off and get on at College and Wall, which is about a 2 minute walk from your class and will cut out a little extra travel on the way there and about 20 minutes’ worth on the way back.

Incidentally, just a thought, it’s only a 1.2 mile walk from Union to 12 Hillhouse. I think it’s perfectly safe. Your comfort level may be different.

^^^ For a new student who has luggage and doesn’t know the area, it’s always best to take a cab or the shuttle bus. Even though it’s perfectly safe, I would NOT recommend walking from Union Station to campus for a newbie.

^^^sounds like the OP is commuting, not moving in. It was just a suggestion, possibly to follow after a couple of times getting the lay of the land via cab or shuttle.
