Hi everyone-
Getting geared up for NYC in a few weeks as my S is auditioning for 6 (hopefully 7) BFA ACTING programs! Whose with me?!
Question: what do guys typically wear to auditions? I am hearing all kinds of different info. He is not doing any dance calls, just straight acting.
@thestage603 - while lots of us spend time on both- you might get more responses from the theater/drama forum since your son is doing straight acting.
With that said… most of the guys I saw last year were wearing
a. either black pants, tan pants, or very nice jeans
b. a dress shirt (color optional, lots of brights last year) with/without tie, or a sweater
c. fairly dressy shoes (depends on rest of outfit)
I did see kids in full suits last year, and I saw kids who were much more casual. But the bright shirt/dark pant was the primary “look”.
