NYOUSA (National Youth Orchestra) Reputation?

Hello!

This summer I was accepted into Carnegie Hall’s NYOUSA, which is a tuition-free program partially funded by the US State Department. We toured and performed around Europe, engaging in some cultural exchange activities as well as meeting with US and foreign government officials.

I regrettably don’t know much about the world of college admissions, so I’m just trying to gauge my current standing in regards to ECs in preparation for next year (I will be an incoming Junior). Does anyone know anything concerning the reputation of this program or if it looks good on college applications?

Thank you,

NYOUSA is very good. They played alongside Joshua Bell for the Tchaikovsky violin concerto a couple of years ago. It will look good on college admissions.
