Anyone heard on this one yet? If I recall usually the winners hear by graduation so I am thinking any day now.

This morning I was wondering the same thing, and then when I got home from school this afternoon the letter saying I won the scholarship was waiting for me in my mailbox. So I assume if you didn't hear today you'll find out in the next couple of days. The envelope was postmarked May 13th and mailed from Rensselaer, NY.

Yeah, I got mine today too, so you should probably hear soon.

Darn, D has not heard yet but has also not heard of anyone in her school getting it. I know there is 1 per school, D said a lot of people from her school applied though.

Do you hear either way?

I thought our past lottery winners heard at the High School honors convocation. I didn't know they heard through the mail...but D1 didn't get one and D2 didn't apply due to 75% chance that she would ultimately be going out of state.

D heard from her principal the day before we received a letter in the mail. We received the letter in the mail on Thursday. A form must be signed and returned by the end of May. From the original essays and applications, two semi-finalists were chosen by each high school throughout the state. The Lottery people then decide who the winner is from those two.

Good luck!!

I got mine today. It was address from Albany, I thought. I think I was the only one from my school who applied. However, I had to decline the scholarship since I am no longer going to a New York State school.
