NYT Article re: Suicide on College Campuses

I posted this link on the Class of 2016 thread, but thought I’d post it here.

The article makes the point in heartbreaking fashion that there are real all-star kids (CC-type kids, if you will) who go off to college and descend into a darkness from which they can’t extricate themselves . . . We discussed suicide with S14 before he left for school last fall, and we’ll talk about it again. We wanted to make sure that he knew that there’s no situation he could get himself into where we wouldn’t support him 100% and no shame that he could feel where the only path out was to kill himself. . . Just thought I should pass this on.
