What a disgrace!

Basketball is a disgrace at many schools. When I saw the graduation stats at the schools that are so big in basketball, I was appalled.

um, wow…thanks for posting…as an alumni, and an admissions rep, I knew that the Div I change would be interesting, but didn’t know how interesting until now…

agree with cpt…but for an academic school like Binghamton, this is really a paradigm shift…I happen to personally know many of the “Colonial” BBall players from the 70’s and 80’s…academically extremely successful…can’t imagine their reactions to this article…

interesting that the NYT thinks this is exclusive to Binghamton…they only mention other SUNY’s in this article…

Agree with you both.

Its like…

Rick: How can you close me up? On what grounds?

Captain Renault: I’m shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!
[a croupier hands Renault a pile of money]

Croupier: Your winnings, sir.

Captain Renault: Oh, thank you very much.
