I was excited to read about Sal Khan as the commencement speaker. I am an elementary teacher and actually use Khan Academy videos all the time. I’ve watched a few of his interviews and I think he will be an interesting speaker. Too bad I’ll be at the class of 13’s ceremony.

Khan does sound like he’ll fill our hearts with inspiration … BUT … I can’t even imagine how exciting it will be to watch the “100th class” get their diplomas! And when I was on campus, a few people at lunch were talking about who might be the centennial graduation speaker … big names like you wouldn’t believe! Oh, to think that Class of 2012 came so close to being the 100th class! And another great thing about being in the class of 2013, still one more year, one more year at Rice!
