NYU 2008 Transfer

I smoked weed and drank beer.

Sorry to hear that Adam… but u deserved it.

I hope you learned from all that…

Chances anyone?? i posted earlier thanks

Lalafaye… first u have 3.8 on how many credits?

ha, thanks kenien. I haven’t had two years to realize that, glad someone on a message board told me.

don’t worry about getting your chances. hope for the best, you have already applied!

Woah adam, could you specify what the letter said about number of applicants? If the number is actually 4250 or around there, thats nothing but good news because last year they had over 5000 applicants…

5390 according to college board*

Kenien- Thanks.. umm 15. I will have approximately a 3.7 this semester but they haven’t asked me for my spring grades.. probably rejected. :(

They didnt ask me for spring semester grades either.

I don’t have stellar SAT scores, so I’m thinking i would need spring grades to be accepted. Good luck though

Yeah me either. My SAT scores were horrid. I hope that doesnt hinder me from getting accepted. Im getting so nervous.

What are your stats?

my sat is the worst

650 math
510 reading

the writing, i got like 450

on top of that, I have way below standard gpa, and my 59 average in highschool doesnt help.

but i do know people in my school who got in w/ith the same gpa as me, which gives me at least 1% of a chance

Don’t worry. My ACT scores were terrible (26 == <1200 SAT) and I was still accepted. They care more about your college coursework and grades than anything else.

i have a similar SAT- i think my HS gpa is higher though.. are you applying for sophomore standing?

Yeah mine were worse that yours k1 man. But i hope my hs gpa will help. I got a 3.6 gpa.

gexxman how many college credits did you apply with? not including this semster

Does anybody hear a decision from Steinhardt??:(

me? im applying as a junior with a measly 3.25, with 80 attempted credits

but NYU is so hollistic that people in my school w/ith similar or worse gpa got accepted, i say my chances are under 5%, though i do have a huge upwards trend (.8 highschool, 2.2 first semester, 2.6 second semester, 3.4 the third, etc.)

i see. well good luck.. Ugh i am so nervous. have you guys heard from anywhere else?
