Spiral how did you hear?/were you accepted/rejected? HAs anyone tried finding out via phone?
Good luck everyone.

They do not normally give decisions via phone, unless you have special circumstances, like I did.

hey serenityhope,
no, i go to college at Boston University, and I went to high school in kenosha, wi.

On the CAS acceptance letter it said that over 4250 people applied for transfer this year. Good Luck everyone!

So this means that transfer applicants have drastically declined from last year… last year there were about 5500 applicants…

didn’t this same conversation happen about 3 pages ago?

lol ^^^

the wait is making people lose their minds

Perhaps it is, but doing so may affect your chances for NYU and the future. That said, if you cannot focus on your academics enough you will not be able to transfer out your current school. They still check your last semester grades if you are accepted for transfer. It may also affect your current GPA, assuming you will remain in your school. Therefore, I strongly suggest it to not let it control you. NYU does not necessary represent a better future. Perhaps staying in your current school will lead you to your future success.

Best of luck. Let your mind flow free of any struggles that do not help you at all. After all, life is about achieving happiness.

i agree completely with the post above. good advice

Dang it. Studying for finals gets my mind off of NYU but it is a lot more stressful than worrying about NYU. Haha.

anyone hear from NYU esp Steinhardt???

Nope. I need to hear by May 1st so I don’t know what to do. Anyone else for Steinhardt?

Got my letter from Stern today. Rejected. Oh well, figures. “This year was the most competitive year we’ve ever had for transfer students”. Life goes on though, and I got into my second choice, so I’m happy enough.
Quick Stats:
College GPA: 3.96 (University of south carolina)
HS GPA: 3.65
HS Rank: 20/289
SAT: 1890/2400

Good luck to everybody else!

sorry to hear that. congrats on getting in to whatever your second choice was!

anyone get anything from CAS?

swmass when did you apply?

jcfisher21 sorry to hear that. I’m getting a little bit nervous now. I applied to Stern also.

Anybody else get a request for a Midterm Grade report from Stern? I just got a request for one today.

I also applied to Stern. Wonder if I’m gonna get my letter soon. I applied in late February so we’ll see…

This is from the NYU forum

I have heard that all Stern decision letters will be mailed out on May 1st. Can you confirm this information?

Thank you for your interest in NYU. Stern transfer decision letters are being mailed on a rolling basis and, as long as your application is complete, you should be receiving notification from us middle to the end of May.

So, I don’t think all the letters will be mailed out May 1st..
