NYU 2008 Transfer

how did u guys find out? just mail or online???

i didnt believe it at first, but nyu sent it to someone on their acceptance letter.

im still a bit skeptical, but i cant deny from direct source

70/1800 is actually like 3.8%

thats for CAS

i fully intend to call them first thing monday morning, i cant see how this is at all possible

It was actually “over 1800 applicants for 70 spots” in CAS, according to the email they sent out to people who were accepted with the proviso of going to Florence or Prague for the fall semester. I don’t know where the 6% came from..maybe a guess as to how many they actually accepted for the 70 spots?

Beat me to it, dufflebag

yay! I got into CAS! Can’t wait to mail out my deposit on Monday~~ I’m so excited…but I’ll have to call the office on Mon regarding financial aid though…

Good luck to all who are still waiting!

Someone told me this, but I can’t vouch for its reliability. When NYU admits someone, they create a NetID for you. If you go to https://start2.nyu.edu/ibin/getnetid1.cgi</a> and enter details and get a response, it means that you’ve been admitted (otherwise why would they allow you to create an email address?).

If you don’t get a response, it doesn’t mean that you’ve been rejected. Transfer admissions, as we all know, are rolling. So don’t lose heart.

Dude I got an A in the class I was worried about. That means I’m most likely going to pull off a 4.0 this semester. If sending in a 4.0 on my mid-term or in my case spring-term grade report doesn’t get me in, I’m going to be mad and sad.

Hey everyone,

I found out from a friend who applied under the CCTOP scholarship today that he was accepted. (The letter comes in a big folder size envelope)

Since I figured that they probably already made a decision on my application (since they’ve sent out a bunch of them) I tried that NYU ID login thing CyberDon posted…

It gave me a NetID…does that mean I got in???

Cyberdon, there have been previous posts about that link on this thread, but someone dug up an old thread in which an NYU Rep advised students not to use it. Just letting u know they really dont like it.

DavidS, I would think you are accepted. I don’t know why they would let someone who they rejected have access to that stuff.

DavisS123…I also tried to login NYU ID thing. It gave me NET ID also.
However, I’m an intl student and live outside of the US. I haven’t received an acceptance email from NYU. (NYU send decision letters to intl applicants.)
Even if I haven’t received an email, does this mean I got into??

which school did you apply to??..I applied to Steinhardt communication:)

Sweet Chocola!..I applied to Steinhardt as well. Also, a communications major as well.

Congrats!! (I hope, for both our sakes)

Trojan, I don’t know which school you applied to but they requested mid-term grades from me too…I got 4 A’s and one A-…

I didn’t get an official acceptance letter but I was able to create a net ID (So i’m crossing my fingers that I did actually get in)

I applied to Steinhardt as a communications major

I’m still a little confused as to how they want you to report your grades if in some colleges they wont be posted till june. at this point teachers don’t come to school anymore because classes are now over.

ob - its a form they directly e-mail to you from NYU. It has a specific admissions counselor’s name and return address information…

At the bottom of the form, there is section that your Professors fill in and sign with you course number /credits / and expected grade

Can any Stern students login NYU home???
