<p>Is this a common thing? I’m worried because my school doesn’t get out until June 15, which means my final grades won’t be released until late June. Wouldn’t they pretty much close admissions by then?</p>
<p>Hmmm why does stern ask some people for mid-terms and others final spring grades? I got a mid term grade request on May 2nd. </p>
<p>About the spring grades. Maybe they would make a decision off your unofficial transcript, and if they see that you altered the unofficial one once they receive your official transcript they’ll just rescind your admission, allowing them to inform you of a decision quicker. Thats what I’m guessing.</p>

<p>They already reviewed my application and a decision is going out early this week is what NYU told me through the forum. I’m so nervous. I want to try that netid thing but then again I don’t want it to not work and then be disappointed and worried. Please don’t be a rejection, please!</p>
<p>Man up and check it; it won’t change anything. My decision will be sent out this week; I just checked my netID, and… it [still?] doesn’t work.</p>
<p>I’ll just wait for the mail. Instead of speculating if i got in or not, I’ll have a definite answer. And even though most likely there won’t be any consequences for checking it too early, I’d rather not risk it. Its just a few more days.</p>
<p>No consequences; me and chocola, among others, tried it. They might say de jure not to check it due to the fact that they don’t want kids circumventing the system/getting worried, but de facto they don’t seem to care.</p>
<p>So I sent in my deposit to NYU…I love Gallatin and just have to go. My dad is going to pay for it , and I do feel sort of guilty though. Feh I can pay him back after I am a high income NYC attorney.</p>

<p>Gwenneth–not necessarily. Sometimes they just activate the netids late; I know a couple of kids whose admissions packets came before they could log in. Just because you can’t log in now doesn’t mean you won’t be able to do so later.</p>
