NYU 2011 Transfer Decisions

I have created this thread to help current and future transfers view the stats for those who were admitted and rejected. This will allow current and future transfers to compare statistics and gauge where they stand against others.

Please post STATISTICS ONLY. This thread is for results only.

Keep all questions and comments in this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/986968-official-nyu-2011-transfer-thread-15.html

I have to give credit to @tbibbs, @einna, and @archieg, who I referred to previous result threads to come up with the template.

Use the format below. Copy and paste, then take out the spaces after each left and right bracket. For example, if the bracket is [ /b] make sure to take the spaces out so it will look like . Just take out the spaces. Also make sure to **Preview Post before you actually post. If you follow the directions it should look like the example at the bottom of the page.

Copy and Paste the following into your post. Choose one from the three (accepted, rejected, SGR). Take out the space before each bracket!

How did you find out so early?

@conncoll20, I am wondering the same question as well! Are those people spring 2011 transfer? Because roymond said he/she would enter as a 2nd semester soph.

I’m a Fall 2011 transfer. I was admitted early. I’m a highly qualified candidate (apparently haha) who was offered early admission to other top schools, so NYU admitted me early so that I could decline the other offers and accept their offer instead.

No worries, though, guys!! You’ll def. receive your decisions within the next few weeks!! Good luck to all!!! :)

^ I doubt that’s why you got a response early.

I see you guys failed at reading comprehension. Seriously does no one read and more importantly follow directions?

Post in that thread.

yea same here, i highly doubt thats why. The office said no regular fall 2011 transfer admissions have even been sent out.

I see you guys failed at reading comprehension. Seriously does no one read and more importantly follow directions?

Post in that thread.

The earlier posts are from applicants who applied for the spring. The inability to follow directions is absolutely amazing.

Well the thread should have been made a little later then thread police.

@WunNyne - You do realize that people applied for Spring transfers as well? They count as 2011 acceptances too, so this thread was perfectly timed for them.

Please, discuss in the OTHER thread. (I realize I’m probably making it worse by posting in here, but some people just don’t follow instructions).

@MitchAPalooza:

Thanks for making this thread, and I’m sorry if I’m making things worse by posting things other than stats in this thread - would it be better if I just edited my first stats post and insert the reason I was admitted early? Let me know.

Also, everyone else:

Actually, that IS the reason I was admitted. I have a year of graduate coursework under my belt, and was labeled a competitive candidate. I would have waited to post my stats until everyone else was admitted, but wanted to post my stats to help and inform other applicants (after all, isn’t that what this forum is all about?). Sorry if it was upsetting to some!! Best of luck to everyone!!!
