@collegeJerome it doesn’t say what school you applied to on Albert, I applied last year to NYU and even after decisions were released it never said what school you applied to
Do you guys think that if I fax my Mid-Term Grade Report using the fax number given on the Common App, they would receive it? I also sent in a physical copy about two weeks ago. I called yesterday, but the person said they haven’t received it yet. And that doesn’t make any sense. If you guys sent it through online, what email did you use? Thanks.
Honestly, the people working on phones there aren’t too diligent at work lol. I tried an experiment and called twice to see if they got my transcript, one person said yes, no in a lazy voice. If your albert is checked off, you should be good go. But it doesn’t hurt sending copy again also…
Also, is anyone here applying more than once? If i get rejected as a first semester sophomore this year (God Forbid), when is the next time i can apply? Also how do you deal with it lol, i already got rejected in senior year of highschool because of my Sat’s and I haven’t forgetten the feeling since lol
This is my second time applying and I totally feel where you are coming from. The rejection was honestly the worst feeling of my life but I worked so hard this year and I feel like my essays truly represent who I am and my story. If I don’t get in I know I tried my hardest. Of course if it doesn’t work out it will suck but I’ll channel my energy in trying to get in as a graduate student. I think what will be hardest is knowing I have to stay at my current school and I don’t like it at all You have to wait a whole year before you apply again but I really hope everything works out for you. I honestly haven’t slept a full night since this application process started. It’s all I think about
My admissions officer emailed me requesting my mid year report and she said I can send it directly to her email so if you know who your officer is I would email it to them to make sure they get it.
@nyu7896 But how would I know who my admissions officer is?
@tsunamiii786 I think if you were to get rejected now (heaven please forbid) you would be able to apply again in Spring 2017 for Fall 2017 admissions.
You’re assigned one based on the region you’re applying from. I would call and ask to make sure.
@tsunamiii786 It’s once per academic year not calendar year it says on the NYU website. So hypothetically if you apply for spring now and are rejected you will not be able to apply for fall 2017. My friend was rejected for fall 2016 but he is still allowed to apply for spring 2017 since it’s two academic years apart despite being only a few calendar months apart.
Wait… so you guys do think that if I were to fax my Mid-Term Grade Report along with a cover letter with my contact information, they would receive it? Because I have a C in Calculus on my transcript from a year ago, it’s really important to me that the get my Mid-Term Grade Report showing a potential 4.0 GPA for this semester. I did send them a physical copy by post office mail, but it doesn’t make sense how when I called them a few days ago that they said they don’t have it. Sorry.
I would fax it then call a few hours later to follow up. If they still don’t have it ask them to provide an email you can send it to to ensure they get it
Ok cool. Thank you so much @nyu7896
Hey when u go to albert and click on view/register for events, what do you guys see??
Like what exactly is written there?
Did anyone receive an FA change?
It says no events scheduled @sos1234 wbu?
Mine also says no events scheduled
@jonesby if it hasn’t been 4 weeks since I submitted my application, should I not call to ask about the unchecked documents? They haven’t sent me an email saying I’m missing anything, but I also don’t want it to be too late if they haven’t received the documents
You can email them to confirm admissions.ops@nyu.edu
