Thanks! Wish me luck for ED2! @GiannaC3
The person who removed the file for you may not be the one who review the application though. It is true but my family can’t afford it and I explained it to them hoping for a better financial aid package since I turned in my noncustodial parent profile late.
@JaqueBear that’s true. I hope you get in though and I hope you get good aid. My situation was somewhat similar to yours, I was very worried because I knew my parents couldn’t afford it, and that’s the worst thing ever, but I took a risk, and it worked out for me. I’m praying for you and everyone else, I know we’ve all worked so hard for this moment.
Thank you! Congratulations to your acceptance. It is a risky move for me since I live in CA and I could go to a cheaper UC but I really really love NYU. If it’s not for the sake of money I would have stuck with ED. NYU is a worthy investment! Hope you enjoy it and maybe I’ll see you next year!
Hey guys!
Congratulations to everyone who got in
I am currently working on my “Why NYU” essay for tisch and wondering whether I should include something about liberal core program , as I would like to be considered for both (tisch is my first choice tho). Also , do you think it would be wise to choose more than one alternative program ? I am really interested in various subjects , and still would like to attend NYU if i don’t get into tisch.
@honeygirl13 yes, you can talk about both programs. I applied to CAS as my first choice and Gallatin as my 2nd choice, but I only talked about CAS and my major in my essay, I was still accepted. In my opinion, I do think it’s wise to apply to more than one program just in case. Good luck! For me, I kind of wish I did gallatin as my first choice because I prefer to be in that one now, but I got a CAS scholarship so I don’t want to jeopardize losing it if I switch schools.
I’m thinking about applying RD and I wanted to submit my AP scores since I think they reflect my abilities better than my SAT scores. I’d be submitting AP Lang and Comp (5), APUSH (5), and Bio (4). I know they want scores from different subjects so are these varied enough?
@yalikejazz I don’t think they could get more varied.

Does anyone know how to submit a resume to nyu on the Common app?
I have two quick questions: I applied RD (Liberal Studies and Gallatin). I know that the decision day is April 1 but is it possible that they can respond earlier?
And the second question: Which school is easiest to get into out of all colleges? I’ve heard a few debates over this and am simply curious …Thank you for your help!
Has anyone else had trouble accepting their financial aid? I can’t click to accept or decline any of my aid.
Ya I can’t either @HerNameisAmazon
@classof2022 I’ll probably call the financial aid office soon to ask about it
Yes! I called NYU and told them and they told me that we won’t be able to accept it until later.
@seekerofentrance the liberal studies program is definitely the easiest to get into. the acceptance rate is about 40%
@lilax321 your ECs are really good, so I think those will help your application, but your profile definitely seems like a case of grade inflation at your school, if you have a 3.9 unweighted but only a 29 ACT. I think you’d stand a fair chance though, depending on which school you apply to.
@venice23 how do you know the acceptance rate
Hey guys, for those of you who have already applied, did you get an email with a link to your portal from NYU or some sort of confirmation? I applied on Christmas and got that email from all schools except NYU and Cornell. I’m freaking out rn. (I have a feeling it’s like that for NY schools cuz these are the only NY schools I applied to)
@Vapoof Last year I had applied on 12/30 and didn’t get portal information until January 5th. Don’t worry!
