NYU 2022

@YoungOne4 I did.

Does anyone know the actual difference in acceptance rate for ED vs RD for NYU? I’ve heard multiple answers.

I don’t think Tandon is easy to get into anymore as none of people I known who got sat below 1400 or lower than 3.8 gpa got into Tandon in EDI round this year. I believe it has the same acceptance rate as CAS which is around 25%

@jay2985 I’ve heard from multiple people and information sessions (both at NYU and off-campus) that the acceptance rate is the same, or that it’s so close you don’t gain an advantage from applying ED. Not sure about individual schools/programs though.

I would love to go to NYU. I think I have a strong application, but I doubt my financial circumstances will let me.

@mxrxsxa I have heard of a couple people on here that got very good aid/scholarships, so don’t lose hope. Apply for as many outside scholarships as you can!!

Any idea on what the CAS acceptance rate is ED vs RD?

The ED rate for NYU is around 38%. I was admitted into Stern ED 1 for the class of 2022. From my understanding, a little over 30% of their class is from ED 1. Good luck to all!

Hi guys! I applied to NYU RD a little over two weeks ago, and I just received my NYU Application Acknowledgment email. It says that to check on my application status, I have to go to the NYU Start Page and follow instructions from there. However, when I click on the link to access the site, it says “The NYU Start Page is unavailable at this time while a problem is under investigation.”

Does anyone know when this should be resolved? Thanks, and good luck to everyone!

on NYU’s site, it says last year’s acceptance rate was 38% and RD was 28%. However, they also issued a press release on January 5th stating tat ED applications were up over 20% and RD applications were up 12% from last year - so that would mean acceptance rates will go down.

they also deferred 550 appiicants from ED1

above, meant to insert ED - ED acceptance rate was 38% last year

That’s still 10% difference. I’ve heard some people say there’s as little as 1% difference

the 10% difference is a fact - NYU has it on their site

the 1% was the prior year I believe

Is there anyone tried to open the NYU housing payment tab? I clicked it and I am transferred to another website called NYU Office of the Bursar Electronic Suite

@Joezzzzz the electronic suite (esuite for short) is how you’ll pay deposits and tuition

For those who applied ED2 what are you doing with semester grades. They aren’t due until March 1st I heard so are you waiting to send them or do you think they will be considered for ED 2 still.

I don’t know but my school sends the grades to the school automatically so I don’t give a …

Anyone know anything about merit scholarships at NYU or know anyone who has ever received any merit money from nyu? I absolutely adore the school but its so darn expensive :((
