NYU 2022

@youngone4 always had it

Getting an email from NYU Admissions only to see it’s about whether I’ve committed to a different school… :-SS

^ Same. Does everyone get that email?

I got it too! Ugh so nervous

I’m sure everyone gets it! But yeah, that it was shocking to see NYU Admissions in my email LOL

S got that email too. What a strange thing! Has anyone come across this in prior years’ strings?

S got same. Does anyone know when decisions are released?

I think it may mean something. Me and my friend are the top 2 in our class and we got that email but other students who applied didn’t. But it is just random.

Got it as well. Very nerve racking to see the email and then to open it and it is nothing…So tired of waiting

do y’all think that we could hear admissions decisions before april 1 ??

I received one on 03/10 last year. It is a common formality and it is nice to eliminate non-considerate students to give more room to others [perhaps even me or you] @YoungOne4

Thanks @BrKmNk. In relation to the 3/10 email, when did you get your decision and, if you don’t mind me asking, what was the decision? Thank you!

On the 22nd I received this mail.

xxxx,
As we conclude our evaluation of candidates for admission to New York University, we’d like to update you on our decision notification process.

I was rejected… likely bcuz im international + wanted financial aid which isnt a good combo for NYU + my SAT was 1370. Well I re-applied nonetheless and I dont mind 2nd rejection as it isn’t my dream school. Still, GOOD LUCK to all u fellas.

@BrKmNk Thank you for all of that information. It is really helpful. It sounds like the email we got today may be a formality (did anyone NOT get the email today, or did anyone who got it last year get ACCEPTED?), that NYU will notify us about the release date, and that the release date likely won’t occur until the end of March. Thank you!

The email my S received is different. States that admission committee is finalizing the review of his application and asking if he has already committed to another university… if so there is a link for him to withdraw his application.

oh @brkmnk i missed that first message… i see you received the same email on 3/10 last year.

@deb12267 Are you saying there are two different emails today?

From the NYU Albert Portal -
Admission Decision Release
We expect that all first-year admission decisions will be released on your Application Status page on December 15th after 5pm Eastern Standard Time for Early Decision I candidates, on February 15 after 5pm for Early Decision II candidates, and [[[[[[[[[[[April 1 after 5pm for Regular Decision candidates.]]]]]]]]]]]

Regarding what I received last year, we should get that first mail around 03/23ish.

Email scared me too! haha. Been thinking about it a lot these days… April 1st can’t come soon enough!!

Wait @BrKmNk - was that an email from the Albert portal, or did you just see that when you logged in?
