NYU 2022

@sjw06089 Most of us have received this email. If you look back through the pages, you can see our previous discussions about it.

@sjw06089 As stated previously, the email that you have described is a routine email sent to Regular Decision applicants. It is not indicative of your possible acceptance.

As I previously said, that mail was sent last year too, so it is a routine thing… we will receive “2” more emails from NYU, which are the following:

1 week before decisions mail:
xxxx,
As we conclude our evaluation of candidates for admission to New York University, we’d like to update you on our decision notification process.
On March 30th we will email you with the specific link you will use to view your admissions decision. Please ensure you’ve activated your NYU Home account beforehand by logging into start.nyu.edu with your NetID (xxxxxx) and following the instructions.
Decisions will be released intermittently throughout the day, so please wait to receive your email with the special link before looking for your official admissions decision.
We will begin releasing decisions over the phone on Monday April 3rd.
Should you have any questions about your decision notification, please email admissions@nyu.edu.
Sincerely,
xxxxxxxxxx
Dean of Admissions

On the 1st of April The final decisions mail:

NetID: xxxxxxx
University ID: Nxxxxxxxxxx
XXXXXXX,
Your admission decision is now available to view on our admission decision page. Please use your NetID and password to login at m.albert.nyu.edu.
Sincerely,
xxxxxxxxxxx
Dean of Admissions

Did you recieve the email above on the 10th? @BrKmNk

@HERCULES_HERCULES u talking about my post #402? these were from last year

Wait so let me just try to clarify, you received the two emails above last year and you received the email that we received about the early decision thing?

Basically what I’m asking is did you recieve the early decision withdrawal email last year?

that is correct  @HERCULES_HERCULES

Oh thanks @BrKmNk

On Albert, it says that decisions come out at 5 pm ET on April 1.

Now that we have a set date I’m even more nervous lol

Ugh. That’s late. And on Easter Sunday.

It’s also April fools day lol

What if they give the wrong decision to everyone and then update it an hour later

@IlluminatiIsReal That would not be funny.

Yep @MrElonMusk I agree too many emotions involved.

@IlluminatiIsReal Has it happened before? I remember reading an article a few years ago about how CMU accidentally emailed rejected students with admitted emails.

Wow that would be really bad. I mean that would get you on the top of the world and dreaming about the next year and then just destroy you.

Actually, in addition to CMU, Johns Hopkins, MIT, and UC San Diego have done that too (accidentally, of course).

I really hope that doesn’t happen to anyone in the future.

Fordham has done it accidentally too.

Has anyone else been obsessing over NYU lately? I feel like were so close but so far. The wait is killing me.
