Hey there all! Thanks for the congratulations! I got an email from the office of admissions detailing my selection for the deans scholarship around 4. It wasn’t sent based on geographic region I don’t think (I live in NYC). There was nothing that specified that. As for my stats: I have a 34 ACT {36W 29M 36R 34S} 97/100 UW GPA, didn’t report subject tests, no APs bc not offered at my school but I do take a few dual enrollment courses w local colleges. Lots of leadership and genuine extracurriculars. A+ letters of rec. Other Results: ACCEPTED to- UNC Chapel Hill (OOS), John’s Hopkins University, Holy Cross, BU, Northeastern, Fordham, and some other safeties. so far no rejections or waitlists. Still need to hear from Upenn and Yale.

I see an option for Fall 2018, Summer 2018 and Spring 2018 on my housing portal on Albert as well!
And on my financial aid tab I see aid for 2019

After you log into Albert, do you guys see the option for ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-2019 on this page?

Mine says “The Office of Residential Life & Housing Services web portal is currently offline to perform maintenance.” When did you check?

From NYU Albert:
We expect that all first-year admission decisions will be released on your Application Status page on December 15th after 5pm Eastern Standard Time for Early Decision I candidates, on February 15 after 5pm for Early Decision II candidates, and April 1 after 5pm for Regular Decision candidates. Admission decisions for Spring 2018 transfer students will be released beginning in early November while decisions for Fall 2018 transfer students will be released beginning mid-April.

@BrKmNk Yeah they did lol. Back in end of January/Mid-February? I turned it down thinking it was truly “optional” and that it did not include any perks and that it would just be an extra expense. Now I think I regret it so much since it could mean I lost good opportunities lmao.

@newprofessor @yungsnake99 mine only says summer 2018 too. People have said that they never got the housing change and they still got in so I’m not worrying too much about it.
hey all! Just wanted to let you guys know I got the MLK scholarship today in my email (I know someone mentioned they got the deans scholarship so maybe all of the scholarship notifications went out today?). 4.2 w 3.93 uw 1470 sat & four 5’s on my ap tests that I also submitted for my standardized testing in case anyone was curious:)
@nyudream2221 Hi - S’s housing portal shows Summer 2018 and then “Academic Year 2018/2019.” Where do you see Fall 2018 and Spring 2018? On the bursar page?
Also, on the financial aid page, S does not have “2019” showing. It says “there is no financial aid information found.”
I believe I have read on prior years’ strings that the FA and housing “changes” have no correlation with outcome, except that in the last 30 minutes or so before decisions are released some people’s housing portal switches from “non-renewable undergraduate” to “freshman.”
You would have to go to the bursar page for housing and click the ‘deposit’ tab and there will be a drop down menu showing those options.
@BrKmNk I applied to all the schools with FA, which I think might be stupid, but I really want to alleviate some pressure for my parents~
