@leanne07 My D submitted a NCP waiver. They did get back to us quickly, within a few days really, and far before they would have been finalizing decisions. I don’t think it means anything that you haven’t heard back in terms of your admission decision, I think it just means they still are reviewing your waiver. They can finalize financial aid even after decisions go out if they still need more information.
Someone on another thread said their college counselor called an NYU rep and they said they are aiming for decisions to be released Wednesday!!!
nice! Do we have other confirmations on this matter?
@jdyounglegend man I wish it was a likely email! We all got one
That’s ivy day wowww
I didn’t get the email
I didn’t get the email
You did, @mmstanfordbound. Check spam, or the promotions folder in gmail.
I just got this one:
“As we conclude our evaluation of candidates for admission to New York University, please log in to our online decision status portal to learn more about the decision release process and to ensure your login credentials are working properly…”
@mmstanfordbound yup, we all got that email last week around the 21st and @jdyounglegend yup, we all got that email around the 1st of the month. not sure why you’re only now receiving these emails, but if you look back at the postings, you’ll see that they’re standard this year and last. Just a few more days!
someone I know that works in admissions said all acceptances rate have dropped this year. No major or school at NYU has higher than a low 30% acceptance rate, and that the number of applications for Liberal Studies was very high and acceptance rates dropped substantially.
I DM’ed the admissions twitter asking if they knew what date the decisions would come out last Friday and they just replied and said “Decisions aren’t final yet so unfortunately we can’t give an exact date. We will let you know when decisions are coming though”. So I think Thursday or Friday seems more probable.
I called the NYU admission office two hours ago and the assistant i spoke with said decisions would be released on April 1st
@misingthebeach they don’t have stats for class of 2022 yet, right? Do you know acceptance rate for cas by any chance?
@Mmrosa They just say that when they don’t want to or can’t give you the actual date.
Something funky happening on S’s Albert portal right now. When I click through to "Housing “Forms,” and click on “Access Application” next to Academic Year 2018-2019, today it directs me to a totally new screen that says “Application and Payment Status” on the left (with the message “you can’t currently access this section”) and “NYU Websites and Housing Forms.”
Anyone else seeing this?
@misingthebeach oh no thanks for passing it on! this way I won’t get my hopes up.
@mmstanfordbound Re your post #788, my S did not get that email today. When did you receive it?
@YoungOne4 I’m not sure I see what you’re seeing. Under housing, I only have the “NYU housing payment” link…
@bigchoices2018 On the main Albert page, click on the NYU/torch in the upper left corner, then find NYU life, then find Housing. What do you see?
