I think that’s called cutting out bs. Relax, wait and don’t go over the smallest details. You can’t change anything now. It’s not even about worrying others — it’s about stressing yourself over.
I saw a post in another thread where a ”mother of a past applicant“ was saying some kind of nonsense about the housing hack. Clearly a joke. Clearly to stress people out. Well, I assure you, some people will believe that. I would do myself a favor and just not believe all those speculations.
@theoneandonly22 mine also says this and so do my friends’ housing portals. We applied to Tisch.
@aamlam So sorry just saw your post. The housing change is at https://housing.nyu.edu/apply, the status for fall should change from Non-Renewable undergraduate to Freshman.
However, this did not happen for my cousin and she got in. It did happen for a friend who applied ED1 and she got in as well. If your housing says freshman, in the past, you were definitely in. If your housing did not change, you could be in or not. No way to tell. Just have to wait.
I know waiting stinks. I wish the college would release decision as soon as they are done. Good luck!

@kuhlm44937 Same! Idk if it means anything though. My theory is that maybe there isn’t an option for those who are younger than 18. Does this theory apply to you or am I just crazy lol.

I thought it was established early on that messages displayed on the portal are not necessarily indicative of the decisions to come. My option to make deposits have been there since I first got my credentials from NYU.
When the decisions are released we will be notified. I understand that everyone is under intense stress, so go do something fun, relaxing, and funny. Laughter is good for the soul.

The housing hack is super fake! I was accepted already as an MLK Scholar and it just says “Summer 2018”

Hey everyone,
I was admitted EDII and want to wish you all luck since you all will be finding out in the next week. I go no housing change or financial aid change until the time my decision came out, so don’t stress about them. I spent a lot of unnecessary time stressing over the housing change which I did not get until I submitted the deposit. Just enjoy these last few days and try not to stress too much…I know that is easier said than done. Good luck to all of you!!
