My main goal is to get involved in politics after getting a law degree (May aim for something to do with cyber security and law) and I believe NYU is the perfect place for me.

Your ECs are really strong, but your gpa is weak for NYU, especially with your ACT score. What did you get on your AP exams? You might want to look at NYU’s test score options in case future SAT/ACT sittings are cancelled.

Have a candid discussion with your parents about financial aid. NYU is notoriously stingy with financial aid. Will your parents be willing to shell out the full cost of tuition + board? ($312 K total or $78k per year)??

If not then start looking at other colleges. For Law school, the GPA and LSAT scores are the two main drivers. So look at cheap colleges where you can get a high GPA.

Yeah so I got a 1 on my AP CS exam due to a bubble sheet error so idk if imma submit test scores for that.
Ik that my gpa is weak and honestly all i think is that the ACT can improve my chances

Yeah I already talked it out with my fam and they cool with it.
And yeah I already started looking at some law schools but for now ig im just focused tryna get this under grad stuff off my plate

Hi, I’m not sure if you’re still looking for replies but I think you have a really strong application!
NYU is holistic so they may look past your GPA.
Try to focus on your essays since that’s the main thing you can control right now.
