NYU Abu Dhabi

@FollowUrDream == for what? i think most of us even havent submitted our applications yet.

yeah from memory, the CW is in February so why would the invites come out in November…?

well, there are 5 CWs:
November 18-21, 2010
December 9-12, 2010
February 3-6, 2011
February 24-27, 2011
March 10-13, 2011
and if anyone applied Early Decision I, they could be invited only to the 1st (which already passed) or 2nd CW.
but if you haven’t submitted your applications yet - nevermind))) and good luck with that!!!
i still hope to meet some of you in December :)

@Kiwikid/NewYorkUAD – I think ā€œFollowUrDreamā€ was referring to the Dec. CW itself, so according to me, you guys will be probably contacted by travel agencies the week before the CW itself.

so FollowurDream, are you going to the Dec CW?

@FollowUrDream === eeeh sorry, i misread your post. When I saw ā€˜ā€˜II’’ I thought you are about early decisions, and I was wondering why you were asking about travel agency…
just we here do not number CWs, we just say december CW… so I just didnt understand u

@FollowUrDream: Are you invited to the Dec CW? I was contacted by the travel agency but only for some info they need to process my visa.

@KiwiKid, blackplant: Yes, I have been invited to the December CW))

@NewYorkUAD: It’s okay, don’t worry 'bout it…

@murtaza101: thanks for explaining it to Kiwikid & NewYorkUAD. but isn’t 1 week before the CW itself kinda late to contact the people who will need to get a visa to travel to the UAE?

@FollowUrDream – Well I’ve applied before and been to a CW, I live in Abu Dhabi itself, and that I’m pretty much near the NYUAD housing… I got an email from the travel agency just a week before that time asking me for passport/visa copies, I scanned and sent them online! :)

@FollowUrDream – where you from btw?

@murtaza101: ohh i see, if you live in Abu Dhabi - that makes sence
that’s great that you’ve been to a CW before! what was your experience like?

@FollowUrDream – CW was fun, met a lot of global people and it was something different in my life. It was both exciting yet with a sense of formality at the same time. I’ve heard that this year’s CW have a bit of changes compared to last year, but the overall experience is still great. :)

i am!! ))
hi everyone ) i’m from Kazakhstan )
a quick question about the research project: how many words should it be? just don’t want it to be too wordy, but underdoing it would be as bad…
p.s. sorry if the question’s been asked before ) reading all 37 pages just feels a bit overwhelming ))

haha, sorry for the ā€œi am!! ))ā€ ) opened the page where someone was asking if anyone else was applying ED-II )

aah!..it was me!..by the way, I had come across another guy from ur country whos applying for ED-2…it was Amre…
r u the same guy? :/

and yes, the limit is 500 words…for the research essay

@ silky…i guess …for the school nominated applicants the limit is 500 words…
but for the other individual applicants…errrm…I did not see any word limit nd my research project was like…800 words.

nd…to those who still havent received the invitation…

the admission officer said…well they r reviewing multiple applications so…

Keep your project to one page. From memory it was 500 words for you limit.

no, i’m actually a girl ))
i’ve heard that two guys from KZ applied ED I and got invited to CW, but I don’t know any specifics.

thanks everyone ) the word limit’s been bothering me for a long time ))
