i applied tu NYU early decision and im expecting my letter in a couple weeks.
does NYU follow the myth that an acceptance is a big envelope and a rejection is a small envelope? help..

Generally speaking, yes - at least in the past six years.

I didn't apply ED, but my acceptance packet was pretty big.

A girl I know who was admitted ED said that she got a big envelope; however, she also mentioned that many of her admitted friends got little envelopes and were initially devastated.

I know for RD last year in Stern (and maybe other schools?), a whole lot of people got little envelopes prior to the big envelopes because we were in Scholars/University Day, and they were sending us the invitations to the welcome events prior to the actual letters saying we were in.

Not sure about ED, but...

Some schools send you a tiny acceptance letter and a big package comes later.

I got my acceptance today and it came in a big envelope

Gallatin sends a big package

My stern envelope was ripped b/c the stuff was falling out. =P
