Hey guys! I am new to this collge process b/c i am going to be a senior this year and i was wondering what is a good SAT score for NYU and is the school hard to get in? I would really appreciate the help. Thank You

which school r u talking about? CAS avg is prolly around 1350ish and 3.82ish/4.0
STERN however, u need around a 1450ish and 3.92ish/4.0...hope it helped

Thanks so much. And sorry bur i have another question what's the difference between the two schools of nyu.

Well...the Stern school of business is kinda like UPenn's wharton...its specifically business/economic/finance major oriented....The College of Arts and Science (CAS) and basically the college...u can major in everything there, premed, prelaw, music, history...BLAH BLAH CAS's got lots of majors....So like in US ranking, NYU is ranked 34th, but this is the avg of ALL the school, general studies, tisch of arts, stern, CAS...score-wise i think CAS and Stern avg higher...CAS alone should be around 20th? (this is just my take) and Stern School of Business was ranked as number 10 in the nation for business school....

Well, there's actually more than two schools at NYU. There's CAS and Stern, and then there's Tisch (arts), Steinhardt (communication, education, and classical music), Gallatin (individualized study), and some smaller schools, like Social Work and Nursing. I think I got all the bigger schools, though the other day, I completely forgot about Gallatin and wondered why the list felt so short.

how about you research the different schools?

hey thanks for the help and i will definiely research it but when you apply for nyu do you get the application from these schools? or is there just a nyu application?

http://admissions.nyu.edu/ start here

How is the avg GPA a 3.6?

They take all the applications they accepted and add up the GPA and then divide by the number of applications.

I think.

IDK but I think the avg. SAT is 1900 plus minus 100? Somethin like that

first step before applying:

carefully research the school website. get to know the school and take brief notes. NYU has a lot of small essays and i tried to make it obvious that i am applying specifically to NYU, not 10 other schools. i'm not saying summarize what you read, but tell them why that college is the key to your future. how will you utilize its sources?
