I need help

i also come from a low-income family, but my sis went to pomona college for undegrad and sis went to stanford for grad school. i go to a crappy public hs, if that helps.

I am low-income but my GPA is 4.0. Anyways, NYU is notorious for giving horrible aid.

dang, is syracuse. pace or fordham good with aid?

I don’t think any of those colleges have generous aid but being that you are a URM and low-income, they may give you aid. You could always go to Community College for two years then transfer.

okay, i was thinking about, but im a junior now and how do you know if the classes you take at CCs count towards the universities you want to go to?

You would have to contact individual colleges, or ask the CC guidance counselor

thanks so much!

Welcome (:

NYU gives awful fin aid, not to mention it’s not based on need as much as desirability. Someone from my school got accepted to Tisch with a 3.8, single parent, first generation, very low income, and they gave him $7000 out of like $55,000 -_-

Do you live in NY state? maybe you can qualify for EOP/HEOP.
