Hi! I am considering NYU for undergrad (rising senior) but I want to know if they accept Dual Enrollment credits from out of state. So far I have taken:
AP:
Calc BC
Comp Sci
Physics I
World History
and received 5s. I have also taken through DE:
Multivariable Calc and Vector Calc (calc III and IV)
Lin Alg
Diff Equ I
Diff Equ II
Discrete Math
Complex Variables
Applications of the Laplace
Computational Numerical Analysis
Gen Chem I & II
NYU is expensive and I am hoping to get a lot of these credits to shave a year off my time there for a BS. What are the policies on accepting these credits?
Thank you!
If you were to only google “NYY dual-enrollment” you would see their (very specific) policy. Credits won’t trasnfer If they were used to fulfill your graduation requirements, and there are other rules too I just cannot remember off of the top of my head. They’ll only accept up to 32 (I think) credit hours, if they fit their criteria. My advice: find an in-state school that will accept your credits, and not leave you with $100,000+ in debt.
There’s no bachelors in existence that’s worth that much money, especially if that money is debt. You’re getting the debt of a medical school graduate with none of the salary. It’s more than just unwise. That’s a decision that will cripple you financially.
