I would like to take Air Force ROTC at Manhattan College (near the Bronx) while attending NYU. I would probably have to go there at least twice a week. Approximately how long does it take to get from NYU to MC by subway? Is this feasible? Are there any potential problems other than commuting that I might be overlooking? Is anyone else considering doing this? Thanks!

Sarah,

I actually did know people who did the AFROTC...I've heard good things about the program. Its about a 30-45 min. subway ride to Manhattan college. The commute is not that bad at all.

Good luck.

Thanks for the encouragement and for reassuring me that my NYU+AFROTC plan isn't insane.

No prob. Sarah. An express subway or bus uptown should make the commute pretty decent and not too long at all.

Best of luck with admissions and keep us posted.
