Any advise on the classical vocal programs at Steinhard NYU and Loyola New Orleans?
I don't see much mention about these two programs. any input?

My son was curious about Loyola N.O. as well. There is very little mentioned on here. But we've heard from a few that it's a good school, at least for my son anyway and the program he is interested in.

I'm not sure if this will be of any help, but hope it is. I've heard Loyola's a prett good vocal program. I actually took classes there when I was younger. As fas and as Steinhard's concerned, I've heard mixed feelings about the program. A friend, she's a sophmore vocal major there now, said it's extremely political and intense in music theory their training, which can be considered a plus or a minus.

I don't know personally, but coincidentally I was looking at the Chautauqua Opera's Young Artist list today (have a friend singing there in August) and three of the guys went to Loyola New Orleans. It just popped out at me for some reason. Take a look at where some of these young artists at various summer programs went/are going to school.

My sense of NYU/Steinhardt's music program is that it is still struggling a little to attract top level performance majors. The faculty is great, opportunities are great, but some of d's friends who are there now (instrumental majors) are a bit disappointed by the overall level and committment of the students. I think they are making an effort, but perhaps it's hard to be in competition with Julliard, MSM, Mannes all in New York City as well.

Loyola has two wonderful voice teachers ----Ellen and Phillip Frohnmayer.
Lots of individual attention and plenty of opportunities for the undergrad to
perform.

My son is a junior at Loyola in music industries. He is also the drummer in the jazz ensemble and has had many gig opportunities in New Orleans. Loyola has a large array of master classes, and he has met/performed with some big-time players.

I don't know much about the vocal performance major but here is the website.
