NYU and the French Baccalaureate

I see that NYU offers the possibility of sending the grades from the French Baccalaureate in lieu of the SAT I. Since my SAT score wasn't so great (1850-one sitting), I'm seriously contemplating this option. I was wondering what I'm supposed to send to them since the Baccalaureate (Scientifique) isn't administered until the end of 12th grade(June 2014). Do I send them the grades from the Bac in 11th grade first? Can anybody with expertise in this field help me out? I would really appreciate it! BTW, I'm applying to CAS Neural Science.

Hi
I am Syrian, in Syria we have the same educational system in France. That’s the legacy we got from the French in the 40s
anyway,I applied to Cleveland State University for the spring semester of 2013 and got a conditional admission and my interview is on Nov/13/2013 in Beirut,Lebanon.
I sent my score after I took my exam (Baccalaureate, Scientific) “12 grade” and my score was 72.55 %.

wait until you finish the 12 grade and don’t be in rush, I don’t think you can send the 11 grade scores though.

Email the person in charge of the program, whose address must be on the page.
This “test flexible” system is fairly new though and I’m not sure you’ll find anyone with “expertise”. Typically, test flexible schools have benchmarks for their different tests so I assume they have 8/10/12/14/16 benchmarks for France too. As to how this might help or hinder you, I’m not sure. It’s the first school I’ve heard of that allows international test takers to bypass standardized testing in favor of national examinations. It may be a very smart move for NYU, since it excludes internationals’ testing scores from the total given to the infamous USNWR and thus will boost their ranking while attracting a new pool of taltented international students who will be judged on their own cultural terms, but I don’t know whether NYU can easily ascertain score equivalence accross so many educational systems. In addition, I don’t know how it plays with scholarships.
From a practical point of view:
In all likelihood, they’ll want your 1e Bac scores along with predicted results as “predicted” by your Prof Principal.

Yup, the admissions counselor answered and said basically the same thing. I was just wondering what should these scores be presented on? There isn’t actually a form for me to fill out…
