Hello. I’m a prospective NYU Tisch student and have received several 4s and 5s on AP exams (APUSH, APEURO, APLANG, and a few others), but all of them have “No Course Equivalency” at NYU. Will these scores still be able to help me in college (aside from the knowledge-- assuming I even learned anything)?
Hi! A lot of AP exams that have “no course equivalency” are counted by NYU as elective credits. No equivalency means you can’t just substitute it for a class. I don’t know about Tisch, but in CAS we have a lot of empty space around our major/minor/core classes for random electives, and APs can count as credit towards that for earlier graduation.
Thanks!
