NYU-based scholarships

Are NYU freshmen eligible for NYU-based scholarships, or is it only for high school seniors?

bump… these scholarships I’m talking about were the ones that all freshmen were ‘eligible’ for after sending our applications.

I hear you can apply, but it becomes harder to earn one.

I’m a high school freshman and I can’t find any to apply to. on the nyu website it says they would have notified you of any you are eligible for.
They also posted a list of private scholarships you can try, but those are national ones open to every high school senior in the country and many have deadlines which passed. Plus like half of the ones I clicked on were for minorities (and although I am a minority, I don’t count as one).

you don’t apply for the scholarships from NYU, they consider everyone who submits a fafsa for the scholarship. They pick you. you don’t try for any specific ones. Different schools have different scholarships. And I can tell you that there are scholarships that exist that aren’t listed. My son got one that I had never heard of until it appeared on his FA page last year

I know, at the nyu FA office they said they would have told me if they picked me for a scholarship. However, they did give me a list of private scholarships they accept, but I didn’t apply because they’re all national and so the chances of winning are very slim.

I went to see my counselor at school and she gave me an enormous list of over 500 scholarships, so I’m entering a few of those.
