NYU CAS...any chance?

I recently got rejected at Northeastern, waitlisted at RPI and BU, and accepted at UConn. I still have NYU, Tufts, and UPenn to hear back from, but it is not looking too hopeful. UConn was my safety and I am very disappointed in the decisions I have already received. The one difference is the schools I have not heard back from yet received my best teacher recommendation.

Here are my stats:

-Unweighted GPA: 4.05

-Weighted GPA: 4.00

-class rank/size: 8/233

Major: Computer Science

-SAT:
Composite: 1940
CR: 600
Math: 730
Writing: 610

-SAT II scores: (retaking math 1, math 2, and chemistry in October)
Math 2: 740
Chemistry: 690
Math 1: 690

-AP scores
AP US Gov: 5
AP Statistics: 4
AP Chemistry: 4
AP English Language and Comp.: 3
AP European History: 3

Essays: amazing

Senior Year Course Load: Philosophy, AP Spanish Language and Comp., AP US History, AP Calculus AB, AP Environmental Science, and AP Psychology

-ECs: Varsity Tennis, Volunteer Club, JV Indoor Track, Treasurer of Spanish National Honor Society, Science Olympiad, STEM Team, and founding member of AP European Scholars club

-honors/awards – AP Scholar with Distinction, Fairfield University Book Award, All-Academic Team Boy’s Tennis, CAPT scholar, and Mayor award for community service

How can your weighted GPA be lower than your unweighted GPA? Tufts and UPenn are pretty much out of reach with your test scores.
