Will be excellent, recommendations too (already know who I'm going to have write them)

I am extremely interested in foreign languages (although not Spanish), Japanese in particular. I did a foreign exchange trip the whole 2nd semester of Sophomore year and got 900+ hours of Japanese language study in and reached fluency. I hope this can differentiate me from others!

I would like to attend NYU for a variety of reasons. I always found myself as more of the 'creative' type, although I never fell into an exact category. NYU seems like a really unique and accepting place and I'd LOVE to go there (CAS International Relations/Affairs Major, Japanese Language Minor). I'm planning on applying ED next year.

I will need some sort of financial aid (my family is upper middle class but $35,000/year isn't really doable).

DO I HAVE A CHANCE??? Do you you think that my studying abroad in Japan really differentiates me to colleges??
