Course Load: Very challenging (according to my counselor)
Class rank: My school doesn't rank

Also if this helps replies, I’m planning to join CAS in order to transfer into Stern, since my college counselor told me how competitive Stern’s admissions were (only the top 5-10% go there, etc etc).

@Jarjarbinks23 I don’t think it would be that smart to apply to CAS if you want to attend Stern. Colleges realize that some kids will try to do that, so transferring from CAS to Stern won’t be easy. I’m not saying its impossible, but I wouldn’t count on being able to do that. Ask yourself if you would be happy ending up at CAS, because that might end up a reality (I’m just saying this for you to consider, not because I don’t think you have a chance). Sorry if I come off as rude.

@Wharton2020 Of course, I understand. Both my parents and I want to go to NYU because it’s very urban and a great area to get an undergrad business education.

I’ve researched NYU Stern on bloomberg business, various forums of Stern and CAS graduates, etc and the general consensus is it is a great starting place to capitalize on your accounting and/or finance majors.

And I’m willing to foot the debt Stern’s tuition will occur, but at the same time I don’t think I’m academically qualified to apply there (due to my GPA) directly from high school

bump, there has to be some NYU guys who can chance me well

NYU: Match
Your resume looks very competitive for nyu and I wish you the best of luck.
